Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have attached my skin problem report. Could you recommend some medicines for it?
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
Palmar warts are viral infections that spread from an infected person or appear as a result of reduced immunity. It may be on and off in appearance. I suggest taking a tablet of Zinc Acetate 50 mg twice daily in the morning and night after food for one month. Salicylic acid and lactic acid solutions for wart removal. At night, apply Vaseline around the affected area (wart) on your palm, then using the dropper available in the kit, apply a single drop of the solution onto the affected area. Vaseline is applied initially to avoid burning normal skin. Close the area with a band-aid or plaster to cover it up, but avoid placing the sticky part directly on the lesion, as it may be painful while peeling off the next day.
The next morning, remove the plaster or band-aid, wash the area, soak your palms in lukewarm salt water for 10 minutes, and gently scrub the wart area using a pumice stone or nail filer. Do not scrub vigorously or apply too much pressure. Very light-handed scrubbing is to be done just to remove the outermost thick area of the wart.
For the next four weeks or until the warts have disappeared, apply the solution at night and scrub in the morning. If the wart size is big, kindly consult a dermatologist (skin specialist) in person, as they will remove the wart using a method called cauterization. After anesthesia has been applied and injected locally, a single-day procedure would be performed.
I hope this helps.
Please revert so I can assist you further.
Thank you.
