Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and can understand your concern.

Based on your history and the attached photograph (attachments removed to protect the patient’s identity), I can see that you have grade 1 acne and some uneven pigmentation on your face. One thing I would like to clarify is whether you have been diagnosed with PCOD (polycystic ovary syndrome), as acne and PCOD are often linked. If acne is a recurring concern for you, addressing the underlying cause, such as PCOD, is crucial. For managing your acne, I recommend the following regimen:

  1. Night treatment: Apply Epiduo gel (Benzoyl peroxide 2.5%) and Adapalene 0.1% gel only over the pimples.
  2. Morning treatment: Use Clindamycin gel on affected areas. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her, and take the medicines with their consent.
  3. Face wash: Cleanse twice daily.
  4. Moisturizer: Apply gentle lotion in the morning and afternoon.

Additional guidelines:

  1. Avoid picking at your acne, as this can lead to deeper scarring.
  2. Do not touch your face with unclean hands, and avoid scrubbing your face too harshly.
  3. Refrain from using cosmetic products until the current flare-up subsides.
  4. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 25 every day.
  5. Minimize stress, as it can worsen acne.
  6. Maintain a balanced diet and avoid oily foods, junk food, dairy, egg yolk, and overly spicy foods.

I hope this answers your query. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Thank you.
