Hello doctor,

I am a 29-year-old female diagnosed with PCOS/PMOS. I am currently taking Lizelle pills and metformin. Will it be safe if I take Luxxe White Enhanced Glutathione capsules?

Kindly help.

Answered by Dr. Uzma Arqam

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

I understand your concern. Please send your complete medical, obstetric, medication, and treatment history for a better assessment. I also suggest following the measures mentioned below, especially if you have concerns related to PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome)/PMOS (polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome), hormonal imbalance, or weight issues, as these can affect overall metabolism and oxidative stress levels.

  • Have a healthy and balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables.
  • Drink adequate water daily.
  • Exercise regularly, practice walking or yoga, and maintain a normal BMI and healthy weight, which is beneficial in PCOS/PMOS management as well.
  • Avoid recreational drugs and unhealthy lifestyle habits.
  • Undergo a complete health check-up and take proper treatment for any underlying condition.

By making certain dietary changes, you can naturally improve Glutathione production, especially by including sulfur-containing foods in your diet. It is usually better to improve Glutathione levels naturally through nutritious food and lifestyle changes rather than depending completely on artificial supplements.

Glutathione is an antioxidant, and products like Luxxe White (which contains Glutathione) are marketed to increase Glutathione levels in the body. However, such products may sometimes cause side effects like hypersensitivity or allergic reactions. Every individual responds differently depending on body type, nutritional status, stress levels, infections, chronic diseases, and hormonal conditions such as PCOS/PMOS.

Foods that may help improve Glutathione levels and reduce oxidative stress include:

  • Cauliflower.
  • Broccoli.
  • Brussels sprouts.
  • Kale.
  • Garlic.
  • Onion.
  • Vitamin C-rich foods.
  • Selenium-rich foods.
  • Fish.
  • Avocado.
  • Asparagus.
  • Okra.
  • Milk thistle extract.
  • Turmeric extract.

I hope this has helped you.

Thank you.
