Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a PCOS/PMOS patient. I got married one year back. My weight is 187 lbs. Is there any chance of getting pregnant?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
PCOD/PMOS (polycystic ovarian disease/polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome) causes an increase in testosterone levels in women with androgenic features and multiple small cysts in the ovaries. It is one of the most common reasons for irregular menses, especially oligomenorrhoea. You have to be placed on low-dose OC (oral contraceptive) pills with Myoinositol supplementation with a reduction in weight with exercise and diet and increasing your daily water intake. All these, for three to six months, have been advocated for the treatment of PCOD/PMOS.
Regards.
