Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

PCOD (polycystic ovary disease) is a hormonal disturbance that affects the whole body, generally increasing weight, abnormal hair growth, and anovulatory or scanty ovulatory periods or absent periods.

Take some healthy precautions to do investigations if you have not done them and treat accordingly.

  • Daily exercise, yoga, and walking to reduce weight and have a normal BMI (body mass index).
  • Have a healthy, nutritious diet but less salt, sugar, oil, and spice.
  • For abnormal hair growth, you can go for laser therapy if needed; otherwise, waxing, bleaching or threading, etc.
  • On day two, menses blood is to be checked for sex hormones if they have not been checked (serum testosterone, serum prolactin, serum progesterone, serum follicular stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, serum insulin, thyroid function test).
  • Transvaginal scan if you have not done it recently.

Discuss all results here or local gynecologist.

Thank you.
