What does a positive PAP test result report indicate?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am attaching my PAP test result reports. They suggest a need for HPV testing and further treatment, such as managing inflammation and colposcopy. Please go through them. What to do?

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query.

I went through your reports (the attachments have been removed to protect the patient's identity).

Regarding your histology report that shows squamous disproportial binucleated cells, I propose you have developed a cervical intraepithelial neoplasia. You can do the HPV (human papillomavirus) PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test and visit a nearby specialist.

Hope it helps.

Thanks and regards.
