This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have dull pain in my right eye, face, and right arm. The eye doctor does not think there is an issue. The pain started with sinus pain about two weeks ago and then I took Sudafed and Mucinex to get rid of mucus and now I have this issue. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Did you have trauma, stroke, or diabetes? Sinus pain is dull and is usually associated with colds and is located in the forehead area, the nasal area, or the maxillary area or cheek. If it is sinus disease, you can start an antibiotic like one capsule of Clindamycin 300 mg once a day for seven days. Add a pain reliever Etoricoxib 120 mg one tablet once a day for pain. If the pain is on the right side of the face, and arm, we also consider another source like trigeminal neuralgia especially if the pain comes suddenly like stabbing pain, and disappears. If it does, then I suggest you take a tablet of Pregabalin 75 mg once a day. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them, and take medications with their consent. I hope this helps you.

Thank you.
