Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
My last period was before a month. Yesterday, I took Oxycodone 15 mg. I realized that I am pregnant today. I got a positive result on the pregnancy test. I have taken opiates for pain before two days. I am planning to consult a doctor. But I want to know whether my fetus is fine.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
You have taken Oxycodone for pain. As it is your early pregnancy, do not take them on regular basis or like every day. I do not think that it would cause defects in the baby. You can take a scan and it is too early as of now. Kindly consult a doctor for changing your medicines instead of Oxycodone. It may become an addiction to you and later you may have withdrawal symptoms while stopping it and so change the medicine. For pregnancy, your two doses of Oxycodone will not affect the baby and go for a scan to confirm it. In the meantime, do not lift heavy things, take rest, and take lots of fluids. Eat healthily and have a healthy lifestyle.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
