This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have an ovarian mass, which is 6 inches in size. It increased in size last week, causing pain, frequent urination, bloating, and nausea. I have taken blood tests, an ultrasound, and an MRI scan.

Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. From the reports attached (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity), the ovarian mass can be a complex ovarian cyst or a mucinous cystadenoma, which is a benign tumor of the ovary. Since the tumour size is big, I suggest surgical removal of the tumour by either unilateral salpingo-oophorectomy or ovarian cystectomy with the removal of the adnexal mass. I also suggest you perform the CA (cancer antigen) 125 tumour marker test.

I hope this helps you.

Thank you.
