Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am a senior citizen who is physically fit and healthy. For the past eight years, I have been taking the tablet Amlokind AT for blood pressure. In addition, I have an acidity problem for which I occasionally take the tablet Zinetac 300 mg. Currently, I am not experiencing acidity and am only taking blood pressure medication. I have recently been experiencing moderate body pain, particularly in the shoulder joints and lower back. I got a complete blood test and have attached the report herewith. There are some vitamin D deficiency and increased triglycerides and cholesterol levels. Now that I am trying to walk every day, wherever I am, I walk for 30 to 45 minutes at a time. Could you please recommend a treatment plan for my body pain ailment?
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
I have reviewed the reports (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). You do not currently require any medications to treat your elevated triglycerides. However, I would advise you to follow a low-fat diet and do more physical activity. After three months, repeat the test. It will then be decided what the next step will be. Your body aches appear to be caused by osteoporosis (which causes bones to become weak and brittle). It can occur in old age and due to a lack of vitamin D. For this, I recommend taking a calcium and vitamin D supplement for an extended period, and your pains will gradually disappear.
I hope this helps.

Thank you.

You can take tablets with calcium 400 mg, elemental magnesium 100 mg, elemental zinc 4 mg, and vitamin D3 500 IU or tablets containing cholecalciferol. Any of these are to be taken once a day.
