Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The orthodontic treatment has better results at your age. If at a later age, like around 30 years, the orthodontic treatment will be difficult, and the results may not be successful. If considering crowns, at your age, it is possible to do. But the consequences are more. Because for crown placement, usually root canal is done for each tooth, and then a crown is placed. It can give proper occlusion easily.

But those artificial teeth cannot completely have the normal functioning of the natural teeth. So I suggest you go for orthodontic treatment. The consequences of the crown may be errors in root canal treatment, sensitivity, high points, difficulty in eating hard food, and replacement of crowns in case of any issues.

But the Herbst appliance is used to correct the molar relation and headgear to correct the jaw placement, and Forsus appliance is added additionally. But you may find difficulties while eating and brushing.

I advise you to use mouth wash, proper brushing with an ortho brush, eat slowly, and chew well. The orthodontic treatment usually takes time, but it will give a complete cure. The expenses for the crown will be more than orthodontic treatment sometimes. I recommend you continue with the orthodontic braces without worrying about it. If you have any doubts, contact me.

Hope I have clarified your query.

Thank you.
