Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have been vomiting any food I have eaten for the last three days. I have loose motions too. Yesterday I did not vomit, but I have severe loose motions. I ate spicy rice three days ago; I do not know if that might have created the problem. Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understand your concern. All the symptoms you have mentioned are suggestive of gastroenteritis or food poisoning. I suggest you do the following as a first line of management. Start a short course of antibiotics like Ciprofloxacin for five to seven days. Antiemetics like Domperidone can be tried to control vomiting, take a digestant like the Carminative mixture to soothe your bowel. Take plenty of water, choose a soft diet, and anti motion drugs like Loperamide can be taken in severe conditions. If symptoms persist despite all these consult a gastroenterologist and get evaluated. You might need a stool examination and ultrasound to establish a diagnosis. Consult with a doctor and take the medicine with their consent. Thank you for consulting me. You can always come back and reach me at icliniq.com. Thank you.
