Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
A week ago I got a little headache with a sore throat and felt kind of feverish (not checked temperature). I took Dolo 650 tablets and Nodard plus tablets. I still have facial pressure with nasal congestion and on the other side, I am experiencing slight urinary urgency. I am not experiencing any pelvic pain, burning sensation, or blood in the urine. I have not experienced this urinary urgency in the past. What could it be? Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
If you have the above medical symptoms, like facial pressure with nasal congestion and increased body temperature it is clinically acute sinusitis. You have mentioned no urinary symptoms except increased urinary urgency. You should wait and try to maintain adequate hydration. For acute sinusitis, I would suggest you following
1. Tablet Paracetamol 650 mg once or twice a day.
2. Do a lukewarm water gargle two to three times a day.
3. Take steam inhalation two times a day.
4. If symptoms persist for more than two days consider taking antibiotics.
Kindly follow up if you have any further related queries about it. I hope I have cleared all your doubts.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello,
Thanks doctor for the reply.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Kindly follow up after two days and I would suggest an antibiotic if needed for acute sinusitis. Also, if any urinary symptoms develop, you can take an opinion regarding it. I hope I have cleared all your doubts.
Thank you.
