Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I went to an orthopedist for some chest pain, thinking it could be either muscle, heart, or lung-related. My doctor took some X-rays and some movement tests and said he believes it to be a chest muscle strain. Since I had a chest X-ray taken, I would like to get a radiologist's review of my chest X-ray to make sure everything looks good with my lungs and heart. Can you please let me know if you classify this as a normal chest X-ray?
Please note that a few years ago, I had my clavicle repaired with plates and screws. I am not looking for information on that and I am looking to make sure my lungs and heart appear normal in this film.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
1. There is a plate and screws over the left clavicle.
2. The lungs are clear and do not show any abnormal opacities.
3. The heart is normal in size and shape.
4. Bilateral hilar shadows are normal.
5. The domes of the diaphragm are not visualized due to image magnification on your screen.
I do not find anything abnormal with the chest X-ray.
