Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. Yes, it would help if you visit the dentist as soon as possible.

Common mouth ulcers are also called canker sores. These ulcers take a couple of weeks to heal. Various factors cause mouth ulcers. It could be because of vitamin deficiencies, hormonal changes, psychological stress, allergies, accidental trauma, or bacterial infection. Even after a month, unhealing ulcers could be of more serious concern. A clear clinical picture of the ulcer or bump will help to determine what it is and what caused it. I suggest you follow a few things mentioned below.

  1. Avoid hot and spicy foods.
  2. Do warm saline mouth rinses thrice daily.
  3. Rinse your mouth after every meal.
  4. Drink lots of water and keep yourself hydrated.
  5. Maintaining good oral hygiene and following the above instructions will prevent infections and promote faster healing.
  6. Visit a dentist and get them to know what type of ulcer it is and what caused it, as treatment depends on the cause.

I hope this has helped you.

Thank you.
