Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have painful periods every time but my periods are regular. The blood flow is normal during periods but I have severe pain in the uterus during periods and during and after urination on my periods. How can I get over it? The pain is not tolerable at all and I fear that it might be something serious. Please give me a solution to this.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
You need some investigations, some healthy tips like exercise, physiotherapy, and some treatment. Better to have one transvaginal scan, and one hysteroscopic examination by a senior specialist. Have physiotherapy, yoga specific exercises after consultation with a physiotherapist and yoga specialist. Try to have plenty of water during periods and have strict hygiene, and wear soft comfortable undergarments. You can take a tablet of Postan 500 mg eight to reduce pain for three to five days. Walking, exercising, swimming, hot baths, and yoga all can be helpful in reducing pain. On local examination, you can have any findings that need specific treatment, precautions, and tips like endometriosis (endometrial tissue outside the uterus causes pain in full menses, pain at penetrative sex, etc), large or cavity-bearing fibroids, etc. Have a scan and hysteroscopic examination.
Thank you.
