Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am 31 years old and have food allergies. I want to learn more about my condition. I have multiple allergies and can hardly eat anything. Is there a test I can take to determine if these allergies will go away? Will they persist for the rest of my life?
The doctor's report states that I am a known case of thalassemia trait and sinusitis, with a history of tongue swelling not related to any specific cause. The tongue becomes enlarged and wide, covering the teeth. This is associated with pain and difficulty swallowing. My sleep improves with antibiotics.
Please advise.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Based on your history and symptoms, it is important to identify the allergen affecting you by carefully observing your daily lifestyle. The best treatment for allergies is to avoid the allergen. You may find relief with Fexofenadine 120 mg, taken once daily. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her, and take the medicines with take the medicines with their consent.
Although there is no definitive cure for allergies, you can undergo a blood test to identify allergens. This test can detect around 3,000 potential allergens that may be affecting your body. Many of my patients find relief through yoga, particularly Pranayama and Sudarshan Kriya, so you might consider trying these as well.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thank you for the reply.
I have attached my reports. Please advise.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I have reviewed all your reports (attachments removed to protect the patient’s identity). There are many ingredients that you are not allergic to, so continue consuming those foods. Avoid substances you are allergic to, such as egg whites, cow's milk, wheat, etc. When trying new foods, test them individually and wait to see if any allergic reaction occurs.
Additionally, keep a personal record of allergens by observing and noting them down. Take medication whenever you experience an allergic reaction.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
