What could cause sudden facial spots and body itching?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I had sudden spots that appeared on my face about four days ago. The next day, I had a fever, dizziness, and fatigue. Also, I have itchiness all over my body, but there are no spots. I also have ulcers in my mouth that have caused my lips to be a bit more swollen than usual, and I have seen these very tiny spots in my mouth, but I am not sure if it has always been there. I feel sick, and sometimes I have a painful headache that only goes away with two painkillers. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

Fever followed by rashes on the face and a history of oral rashes is most likely due to Measles or Rubella. Therefore, I would suggest tablet Panadol (Paracetamol) 1000 mg every eight hours. Drink plenty of fluids.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
