Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I got a massage with oil six days ago. It was a hand job, with no penetration or fluids being exchanged. What is the chance I have caught STDs (sexually transmitted diseases) like chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomoniasis, herpes, or HIV (human immunodeficiency virus)?
I am worried because I do not know if she washed her hands before seeing me or had any open wounds. I have no burn while peeing, but my penis does feel a little warm, and my balls pain a little bit, but not much.
Please help.
Thanks.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
The chances of transmission of HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) by massage and hand job are nil unless there are bleeding wounds in the hand. It is unlikely, as you would have noticed. There are some STDs (sexually transmitted diseases), like herpes simplex virus, which can be transmitted by skin-to-skin contact or kissing or as STDs. The chances are higher if there are active lesions at the time of contact. If the person is negative, the possibility of transmission is negligible. It is usually unlikely to contract chlamydia, gonorrhea, or trichomoniasis by hand job.
Symptoms may be due to anxiety. I suggest you do the following:
I hope this will help you.
Thank you.
