What causes sexual issues despite using herbal supplements?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 37-year-old male. I have used an herbal supplement that contains horny goat weed, Tribulus Terrestris, and Panax ginseng for about one year, but I did not get permanent relief. All I got was temporary; after a short while, things returned to the old state. I then decided to try three other different herbal supplements but noticed that I did not get any relief. Not even a temporary one. But each time I returned to the first supplement, I immediately got temporary relief as usual. The other three herbal supplements probably were resisted by my system, and it only works with the first supplement. Please, I need your thoughts on this and how to get my system out of being only accustomed to the first supplement because I need to try something new.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

How are you doing?

I know this is one of the worst problems a man can face. Lots of psychological and physical stress. You are young and healthy with a normal weight, so you have to rule out any other problems.

I hope you are not using any medicines for anxiety or depression.

1. Have fasting and postprandial blood sugars to rule out diabetes.

2. Thyroid Profile.

3. Serum Prolactin.

4. Serum Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH).

If all these are normal, you can have a course of common antibiotics like Ciprofloxacin 500 milligrams twice daily for 10 days or Levofloxacin 500 milligrams once daily for 10 days. This will clear any underlying infection.

I cannot say how much these Herbal medicines help, as their actions wear out very fast. You can have tablet Tadalafil 5 milligrams (this is the chemical name) in the evening once for three to six months. This will immediately improve the blood flow to the penis and improve the semen parameters. Effects will stay on.

Try these, and you will have a difference.

Hope I have clarified your query, do write back if any more queries.

Thank you.
