Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 24-year-old male. My height is 72 inches, and my weight is 143 pounds. I noticed about two months ago a thick cord-like lump on my penis. It is in the middle of the penis shaft. It does not move with the skin and is underneath the skin. The lump does not wrap fully around the penis. It is halfway. It is not bigger than a pencil size. It is not painful. I can get a hold of an erection. There is no pain when touched or when urinating. It is more noticeable with an erection, but I can still see it and feel it when no erection is there. If I go a week without masturbation, it shrinks, and if I masturbate frequently, it enlarges. What do I have to do?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

This cord-like structure is a lymphatic channel this is called lymphangiosclerosis. This structure will resolve on its own without the need for medications. It takes few weeks to resolve. There is no harm to leave as it is. If it really persists for a long (few months) and you want to remove it, then it will require surgical removal by which it can be lighted and removed completely. In my opinion, observe for few months, then either leave it as it is or request your urologist to remove it.

If you have any more queries, please do not hesitate to ask.

Kind regards.
