Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 24 years old. I feel lonely. I know it seems like a normal problem, as almost every other person feels. But it is real, and I feel I am deep into this. I have a few people in my life. I am the reserved kind. But what bothers me now is that I cannot share things with people who are my friends who used to help me before. There is a barrier, and I know I have put it. But I just feel no one can understand me anymore. It is killing me. There is nothing left for me. My job and relationships are hard. I just feel like dying.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

People can feel lonely, but if it is persistent and disturbing, it is not normal, and it could be part of a depression that can be treated. A small dose of antidepressant can help a lot in improving it. Also, practice yoga and muscle relaxation exercises, join a gym if possible, and try to do something which you always wanted, like going for a trip or learning something new like a dance or an instrument. Understand that it is just a passing phase, and happy times will be back again. Do a thyroid function test and vitamin B12 level, and include dry fruits, dates, figs, and almonds in your diet. Have sun exposure for at least 15 minutes for enough vitamin D. I suggest you use the tablet D-Veniz (Desvenlafaxine) 50 mg once in the morning and tablet Clonotril (Clonazepam) 0.25 mg at night after consulting with your physician.

Hope this answers your query.

Regards.
