Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I had an annual health checkup. Are the elevated levels of cholesterol, triglycerides, urine tests, and high ESR in the reports cause of concern? Also, are there any other abnormalities in the reports?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com
I have reviewed your test results. There are some abnormal values in your reports. However, the significance of these values depends on the presence of symptoms. Your ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate), triglycerides and cholesterol levels are borderline high; you can repeat the test in two months if you are asymptomatic. Currently, it is difficult to decide on and provide any drug treatment. Thank you.
Patient's Query
Thank you, doctor, for the reply,
Is it true that, as far as you know, nothing is very high, but a few are borderline, like cholesterol, triglyceride, and ESR, which should be repeated after 3- 5 months? Also, what about RBCs? Is blood sugar pre-fasting also borderline and acceptable?
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com,
Based on your reports, sugar and cholesterol levels are borderline. You need to alter your diet to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Your hemoglobin (Hb) and red blood cells (RBCs) are low, so you should get follow-up care to improve your nutrition and supplementation. A physical exam is needed to determine the cause of elevated ESR. You mentioned your age as 64 in the previous question. Now it is noted as 24. Please clarify the details. Thank you.
