Patient's Query

Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
It looks like scabies from the pictures (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). Scabies is a contagious skin condition caused by a tiny mite called Sarcoptes scabiei. The mite burrows into the skin and causes intense itching, especially at night. The itching is usually worse in areas where the mites are most active, such as between the fingers, around the wrists and elbows, and in the genitalia. Scabies is spread through close contact with an infected person, such as sleeping in the same bed or sharing clothing. It can also be spread through sexual contact. Scabies is not usually spread through brief, casual contact such as shaking hands. The most common symptom of scabies is intense itching, especially at night. Other symptoms may include a rash, small bumps, and blisters. In severe cases, the skin may become thickened and crusted. Scabies can be treated with prescription medications, such as topical creams or oral medications. It is important to treat all members of a household or sexual partners to prevent re-infestation. It is also important to wash all clothing and bedding in hot water to kill any mites that may be present.
I hope I cleared your doubt. Feel free to contact me for further queries.
Thank you.
