Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am 21 years old. For the past week, I have been experiencing vaginal soreness, swelling, and itching that make it difficult to walk or sit comfortably. These symptoms appeared after I shaved my private area, where I also noticed pimples on the vulva and vaginal areas.
The area around the clitoris appears particularly reddish and extremely painful. When washing, I noticed a white discharge inside the vagina. This discomfort is accompanied by a burning sensation that adds to my discomfort.
Could you please suggest remedies and possible reasons for this?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understand your concern.
The symptoms you are experiencing are likely due to an infection caused by friction or minor scratch injuries during shaving. This is a common issue and can be managed effectively with proper care and treatment.
Start by cleaning the affected area gently with a vaginal wash to maintain hygiene. After cleaning, apply Betadine cream locally, ensuring to cover the area slightly inside for thorough relief.
For further management, I suggest the following medications:
Tablet Zocon (Fluconazole) 150 mg: Take one tablet daily.
Tablet Bilastin (an antihistamine): Take one tablet daily.
Tablet Zathrin (Azithromycin) 500 mg: Take one tablet daily.
Continue these medications for five days. If you experience significant pain, you can take tablets Zerodol SP (Aceclofenac 100 mg, Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) 325 mg, and Serratiopeptidase 15 mg) as needed. This should help manage the discomfort effectively. Kindly consult your doctor and take medications accordingly.
Please ensure you carefully follow the dosage and duration instructions. If symptoms persist or worsen, or if you notice any unusual changes, consult a healthcare professional immediately.
Send me a follow-up update after three days to assess how you are responding to the treatment and to determine if further intervention is required.
Take care, and ensure that shaving is avoided until the area heals completely to prevent further irritation.
I hope this helps.
Please revert so I can assist you further.
Thank you.
