Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have irregular periods and have had abnormal vaginal discharge for a few days. I thought it was my period, but it was not.

I did not have my period for two months, but this vaginal discharge with blood in it has been there for a few days.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Please send me your detailed reports of obstetrics, gynecology, medical, surgical, and drug history.

Do you have abnormal hair growth?

I advise you to

  1. Seek investigations to receive proper treatment.
  2. Eat a healthy, nutritious diet with less salt, sugar, spice, and salt.
  3. Do regular exercise, walk, and do yoga to have a normal BMI (basal metabolic index) and weight.
  4. If you are sexually active, have serum beta hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) immediately to check pregnancy status, and if positive, have a transvaginal scan as you might need evacuation. In case of a negative pregnancy test, have menstrual induction.
  5. If you are not sexually active, have menstrual induction by having tablet Primolute N (Norethisterone) 10 milligrams twice daily for five days and then wait for one to two weeks for menstrual bleeding.
  6. On day two of bleeding, take serum insulin, prolactin, progesterone, serum testosterone, FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone), LH (luteinizing hormone), and thyroid function test.
  7. One ultrasound pelvis is needed.
  8. Collect all laboratory reports and discuss them here.
  9. Take a high vaginal swab and one local hysteroscopic examination by a senior specialist.
  10. Maintain strict hygiene. Use soft, cotton undergarments.
  11. Use water for local cleaning, and avoid cosmetic products locally.

Thank you.
