This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have had a loss of appetite and have suffered from chronic indigestion for the past many months. I was on Homeopathic treatment for some time. Currently, I am trying a few home remedies like ginger, salt, turmeric, fenugreek, and carom seeds. But the symptoms did not go away. What to do?

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query.

I am sorry to hear that you have been experiencing loss of appetite and indigestion for the past eight months despite trying different remedies. It is important to address these symptoms and find a solution that works for you. Here are a few additional suggestions that you may consider:

1. Keep a food diary: Track what you eat and note how it makes you feel afterward. This can help identify any specific triggers that may be causing your symptoms.

2. Consider consulting with a registered dietitian: A dietitian can help you create a meal plan that suits your needs and addresses your digestive issues.

3. Keep stress levels in check: Stress can worsen digestive problems, so it is important to incorporate stress-reducing activities into your daily routine.

4. Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day to help with digestion and maintain overall health.

5. Avoid eating late at night: Try to have your last meal at least two to three hours before bedtime to allow for proper digestion.

6. Practice mindful eating: Take your time to chew your food thoroughly and eat slowly to aid in digestion.

If your symptoms persist despite these measures, it may be beneficial to seek further evaluation from a healthcare professional. They can conduct tests to rule out any underlying conditions and provide appropriate treatment options. It is important to address digestive issues to ensure your overall health and well-being.

Hope it helps.

Thanks and regards.
