Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am 39 years old. My panhysterectomy was done two years ago, and I am gaining a lot of weight, and currently, my weight is 86 kg. My blood pressure is 138/90. I have been tested for thyroid hormones and Vitamin D, and the levels are normal. I have been experiencing hot flashes for which I took some ayurvedic medicine three months ago, but the problem persists. Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
Post hysterectomy ( if done with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy ) at the age of 39 can trigger a different medical issue( if you have a family history of other health problems and risks )and can have menopausal symptoms etc. Please send me a detailed gynecological, obstetric, medical, and drug history. Drugs, illness, medications, contraceptives, and hormonal imbalances concerning post-menopausal or post-oophorectomy can cause many symptoms. You can have a physician consultation for a detailed evaluation of medical issues. For menopausal symptoms, I suggest you take Evening primrose oil, calcium with vitamin D, and a healthy balanced diet with less salt, oil, and spices.Engage in daily exercise and recreational activities. Quit recreational drugs if you have been taking them. Regular monitoring of vitals and a strict check on symptoms with a physician will be beneficial. I suggest you avoid hormonal replacement as you might have long - term side effects.
I hope I have answered your query.
Regards.
