Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My recent vitamin B12 result is 1224, and folate was 62. I have tingling all over my whole body and am not sleeping well. All I was told was to discontinue my active B.
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
Your vitamin B12 and folate are high due to supplement intake containing vitamin B12. So you may need not to worry about that.
For your tingling, I suggest you consult a nearby physician for detailed evaluation and examination. Peripheral neuropathy should be ruled out in your case. For that neurological nerve examination should be done.
I suggest you check your serum TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) and random blood sugar estimation for further workup. If needed, NCV (nerve conduction velocity) testing should also be done for further investigation.
I hope this has helped you.
Please feel free to reach me again, in case of further queries.
Thank you.
