What causes symptoms of hepatitis despite being vaccinated?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My daughter is 8 years old and has been given all the vaccines that the doctor has suggested. But, now, since yesterday, she is showing strange symptoms. So, I searched online to find them, and it says she may have hepatitis B. Can you help me know what the hepatitis B treatment guidelines are?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Kindly elaborate on the symptoms that you described as strange. Usually, in the vaccination schedule, hepatitis B vaccination is also one of the vaccines. If so, it is unlikely to be a hepatitis B infection, which spreads by parenteral or sexual route. However, for hepatitis B, you need to consult a qualified physician locally and get medicines, including antiviral drugs and immunomodulatory medication.
