Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been experiencing continuous daily headaches on the right side in the morning for the last 10 to 15 days. Sometimes, there are gaps of two to three days without a headache. I changed my food habits 20 days ago to lose weight. Could this change be the cause of my headaches, or could there be another issue? I also take fish oil capsules and statin tablets. My job involves a lot of traveling, and I am on the road for 10 to 15 days each month. Please advise.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. This might be a migraine that has been triggered by inappropriate food habits and sleep disturbances. I suggest you take tablet Paracetamol 500 mg as needed for severe headaches. Maintaining a regular and balanced diet, as well as getting adequate sleep, should help alleviate the headaches. Exercising in the morning can also contribute to headache relief and improve your BMI (body mass index). If the headaches persist or if you experience blurring of vision or double vision, please consider consulting a neurologist. For prophylaxis, you can take tablet Amitriptyline 10mg, one tablet at night for a month.

Thanks and regards.
