How to treat gingivitis and pain in my gums?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My gums are painful when I touch them or when the food touches them. It is turning a fake color of gray so far and it is towards the back of my mouth in the last tooth region. My tooth is not hurting but my gums are painful. What is going on?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

As per your question it looks like you either have gingivitis (first part of your question) or pericoronitis (second part of your question). You need to take antibiotics but only after a proper diagnosis. Please either upload a picture here or visit a dentist.

I hope my answer will help you and visit us back if you have any questions further.

Regards.
