Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Sometimes, I, all of a sudden start coughing as my throat itches so much. I have had this for 12 years. It happens when my stomach bulges all of a sudden, and I feel stuffed after that. Also, I start vomiting lots of jelly-type coughs. It lasts not more than 15 minutes and happens twice or thrice a day. I feel like my stomach is full of gas and viscous cough, and when I try to burp. All this bloody cough comes out of my mouth. It becomes hard to breathe during all this and very irritating, and my throat starts making a whistling kind of sound. Please give me permanent treatment for this problem. I just want to get rid of this.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
This appears to be a gastritis and reflux problem. This acid which refluxed, irritates the throat and lungs, leading to your symptoms. I suggest you avoid fatty, oily, spicy, and high-calorie diets. Have a walk after having food instead of taking a rest. Have multiple small meals instead of heavy meals. Have regular sleep habits and avoid stress. Include lots of green leafy vegetables, fruits. Avoid smoking and alcohol, if any. I guess you do not have any constipation. Also, avoid maida products. Daily some exercises like running. I suggest you get a prescribed tablet Rabpill-LS (Levosulpiride and Rabeprazole) 20 mg before breakfast once a day for two weeks. Get back if have some doubts.
Hope this has addressed your concern.
Kind regards.
