Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have been experiencing weird symptoms lately and want to know what it is. I have been waking up nauseous and, therefore, unable to eat for the past two months. As a result, I felt weak and faint most of the time and had to consult a physician. It was diagnosed that I just had nausea and was prescribed a tablet of Zofran. It would happen for about a week, then disappear before reappearing. However, I feel like it is something way more extensive than that. My nausea comes and goes. I assumed it was acid reflux because I felt no burning sensation or soreness.
Now, I have been experiencing indigestion and my lower back aches. I have noticed that I become hungry shortly after eating. In addition, when I am hungry, I typically do not feel like eating owing to a lack of appetite. I was right until a few days ago when I woke up feeling ill. I also forgot to mention that I am terrified of puking.
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
Do not worry. The symptoms you are experiencing seem to be caused by gastritis (inflammation of the stomach lining). Consider consuming basic foods and light. For a few weeks, avoid oily, spicy, and non-veg foods. Drink milk regularly. I suggest you take capsules of Pantoprazole 40 mg and Domperidone 30 mg once daily on an empty stomach for five days. Take syrup Magaldrate-Simethicone 10 ml three times a day for five days. Please send me a follow-up after five days.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
