Can 12 mm gallstones cause left-side chest and shoulder pain in me?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 32-year-old male. My panic attacks come regularly. I also have left-side chest pain, which circulates near the heart, and left-side back shoulder pain. I have a gallstone of 12 mm. Sometimes I feel my blood circulation of the whole body become very fast. After the echocardiogram test, the thing is fine. My blood pressure is always near 150/100 mm Hg. What should I do? I am afraid of the operation. Please suggest me.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

You have more than one issue. Regarding panic attacks that come regularly require, treatment like Zoloft (Sertraline) 50 mg tablet once daily.

The effect appears after a few weeks.

As for your gallstones, they will require an operation if inflamed and cause pain repeatedly. Otherwise, conservative treatment will be fine. Provide me with the sonography report if possible.

Your high blood pressure requires treatment if it is persistently elevated, so I suggest another measurement.

I hope you find it helpful.

Kind regards.
