Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have been battling with trust for three months now. On my first visit with symptoms, I was diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis. I was given Flagyl for five days. Then I went back for a check-up. Now they diagnosed me with Candida albicans and gave Fluconazole to take one pill for two weeks and polygyny to insert at night. After treatment, symptoms came back after four days. Now I am on Nystatin pill and Econazole for 14 days. After a few days, symptoms came back. I went back to the doctor again and was given Sporanox 200 mg twice daily. It has been five days, and symptoms are coming back. I do not know what to do. Also, I am on Norethisterone 10 mg to balance my hormones because the doctor says I have too much estrogen. Help me, please.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have gone through your history and understand your concerns.Your symptoms are suggestive of vaginitis, and it is mainly due to a fungal infection. Keep the area dry and clean, and drink a lot of warm water and a soft diet. Use antifungal medicine and cream for application. You have to stop the Norethisterone, as it is the cause of your symptoms.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Can you prescribe any anti-fungal medicine and cream? Which one should I use?
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I cannot prescribe the medicine. For that, you need a video consultation.
Thank you.
