What can be done to cure itching on groin and penis?

Hello doctor,

I have an itching problem in my groin to the penis region for the last two years. I did not consult a doctor till now. I use Tyza tablet and a cream. Then I used coconut oil. I am using Quadridem since last week. Starting two days I felt relaxed but now there is no effect. I usually wear underwear. And wear formal clothes and jeans. At the time of more sweating seems like many pimples type on that infected area. It spread to the hips also. I want a permanent solution to this problem.

Do not worry. It is a fungal infection (Tinea). Start tablet Syntran (Itraconazole) 100 milligrams twice daily, tablet LCZ (Levocetirizine) 5 mg twice daily, Terbinafine lotion or cream twice daily. Continue these medications at least for three weeks and review after that. Tips for prevention are to continue medications till the disease completely subsides. Do not use over the counter medications taken from chemists. Avoid sweat (most important) apply dusting powder to keep the area dry as much as possible. Bath twice daily. Do not share clothes as it contagious.
