Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am concerned about whether I am suffering from a gastric problem. I empty my bowels as soon as I wake up in the morning, but after having breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I again empty my bowel. After that, my stomach becomes big and tight. What to do to reduce it completely?
Kindly suggest a medicine to cure this problem.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I went through your query and understood your concern.
The symptoms you mentioned are most likely due to irritable bowel syndrome, a chronic condition that causes bloating, diarrhea, constipation, or alternating diarrhea and constipation. The symptoms are relieved with defecation and do not wake you up in the middle of the night. The condition is very common and found in 10 % of the general population. The episodes are precipitated by stress and certain types of foods.
So I suggest you to take the tablet Librax (Chlordiazepoxide and Clinidium Bromide) twice daily, tablet Buscopan (Hyoscine Butylbromide) for bloating and colicky pain, and laxatives for constipation. Also, I suggest you to take the tablet Loperamide (anti-diarrheal) 4 mg if you have diarrhea.
Kindly consult a specialist, talk with them and take the medications with their consent.
Kindly provide more details about your symptoms.
I hope this was helpful.
Kindly follow up for more queries.
