Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My mensuration period started 11 days ago and after eight days my boyfriend fingered me with very little sperm on his hand. Can I get pregnant? Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern.
It is unlikely that you would get pregnant under these circumstances. A woman is most fertile during the five days leading up to ovulation and the day of ovulation itself. Ovulation typically occurs around the midpoint of a woman's menstrual cycle, which for you would be around six days ago.
Since your menstrual period started 11 days ago, likely that you did not ovulate till that time, and your fertility window was not opened. Additionally, your boyfriend's sperm count on his hand was described as ‘very little.’ While it is difficult to determine the exact amount of sperm that could potentially cause pregnancy, the chances are significantly reduced with minimal sperm exposure.
However, it is essential to use protection and practice safe sex to avoid any potential risks. If you have concerns or questions about your fertility or pregnancy risks, it is always best to consult with a healthcare professional.
I hope this helps you.
Thank you.
Regards.
