Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I visited my grandmother three days ago. After returning home, I started getting chills, dehydration, muscular discomfort, sore throat, and sneezing. I took Paracetamol in the afternoon because I was so exhausted and weak. After taking it, I am feeling much better now. Can you explain why this could have happened? Is it possible that a flu-like illness has happened? Do you have any advice and medications to recommend, doctor? Also, what diet should I follow for the following two days to keep my health in check? Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
There is no need to be concerned because it is a normal cold. However, I would like you to follow these instructions and take these medications for three days. Gargle with a betadine gargle solution twice a day. Take steam inhalation (three times a day). Take two cups of herbal tea every day. For three days, eat only simple and light foods. Along with these medications, Capsule Pan D (Pantoprazole) 40 mg for three days every morning before food. I suggest you take tablets with Chlorpheniramine maleate (2 mg), Paracetamol (500 mg), Phenylephrine (10 mg) tablet twice a day after food, a tablet of Azithromycin 500 mg once every morning after food for three days, and a tablet of multivitamins once a day. And let us know after three days.
I hope this helps.
Please revert so I can assist you further.
Thank you.
