Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My right eye is irritated. I think it caused a reaction from the toner I used the other night. I have a pink eye with slight discharge. I had the conjunctivitis previously two years ago. I want to know how to treat this. Unfortunately, I cannot go to the hospital because there is currently a lockdown here.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Just maintain ocular hygiene. Clean it with boiled water at the appropriate temperature at least once a day. Do not rub your eyes and do not touch them frequently. Use lubricant eye drops six times a day, whichever you have at home. And stop using that toner that you suspect to be the causative agent.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

It got worsen tonight. It was slightly painful when I woke up, and it has discharge. What medication do I need to buy? Can you prescribe me? I do not have any eye ointment.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Do you notice any decrease in vision also in that eye? Any other symptoms like sore throat or fever associated with it? Can you send a picture of both eyes together?

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

I have a sore throat and feel feverish but only 37.5 degrees Fahrenheit. I also have a stuffy nose. There are no available ophthalmologists around my area. I have kids, and I am worried.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Use goggles. Do not rub your eyes. Maintain ocular hygiene. Use refresh eye drops every two hours once in the involved eye. Use Moxi KT (Moxifloxacin and Ketorolac) eye drops QID in the involved eye and Tablet Paracetamol 650 mg BD. It will take around one to two weeks. Initially, it may increase, but do not worry.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
