Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am an 18-year-old male. My height is 6 feet and I weigh 213.8 lbs. A few months back I started having issues with sweat. Whenever I would sit down my bottom would sweat for some reason and it is annoying as it creates a visible sweat patch on my pants. I do not know how to fix this.
Recently another problem occurred. For the last one to two months, my stomach has kept rumbling and I think it is gas. I always have to fart, but I keep it in of course (this happens each day). I was 264.5 lbs last summer. I am on an OMAD (one meal a day) diet where I eat once a day, I eat 1000 to 1500 calories within two to three hours. Usually four pieces of bread, some protein, and a drink.
Although this does not seem major it caused me many problems like never standing up and when I do have to I always have to make sure no one is looking at my pants and that my seat is not wet. And my stomach rumbling happens frequently so I have become the weird guy in class whose butt sweats and stomach keeps rumbling.
I need help.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to iCliniq.com.
It sounds like you are experiencing two separate issues, excessive sweating, and digestive problems. Here are some potential solutions for each problem:
1. Excessive sweating: Wear breathable, moisture-wicking underwear and pants to help absorb moisture and prevent visible sweat patches. Apply an antiperspirant or talcum powder to the affected area to reduce sweating. Avoid tight-fitting clothing that can trap heat and moisture, exacerbating the problem. Practice good hygiene by showering daily and using a mild, non-irritating soap to keep the affected area clean.
2. Digestive problems: Consider adding more fiber to your diet to help regulate your digestion. Good sources of fiber include fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes. Drink plenty of water throughout the day to help prevent constipation and improve digestion. Avoid eating too quickly, as this can cause you to swallow air and contribute to gas and bloating. Experiment with eliminating certain foods from your diet that may be contributing to your symptoms, such as dairy products or high-fat foods.
Thank you.
