Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am suffering from ED. I masturbate since my 19 years, and now I am 29. I frequently masturbate, and now I am having erection problem. What should I do now? I weight about 92 kg, and I am having BP (taking medicines) and no diabetes. Is the ED problem curable, or should I stop masturbation?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern but would like to tell you that masturbation is not the reason for your problem. It is a safe habit, and this could not cause a problem like erectile dysfunction. This problem may occur due to some other reasons.

If you are not getting early morning spontaneous erections, then I would advise you to get done serum testosterone and prolactin to rule out any hormonal cause. If that comes normal, then diabetes and hypertension should be ruled out.

For ED, drugs like Sildenafil or Tadalafil can solve your problem. Tadalafil is my choice for such situations and is safe to use. It can be used in sos (if required) basis too. So if problems persist, then visit a doctor for evaluation and prescription of this drug.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

What should I do now to get rid of ED? I got an erection in the morning, but not that hard as it was before. I am really worried. Kindly guide me.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Get serum testosterone and prolactin done to rule out any hormonal cause. If this comes in normal range, then no need to worry.

For poor erection, drugs like Sildenafil or Tadalafil can be used. The drugs can be used on sos basis too and will help to make hard erections. The drugs are safe to use and free of serious side effects.

Supplements containing L-arginine and yohimbine can be used. This will help to improve the libido and erection.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
