Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Please evaluate my report that shows elevated RBC and platelets and eosinophils.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have reviewed your reports (attachment removed to protect patient identity) and here is my advise. In your reports, the main concern is raised eosinophils. The common causes for that include allergic rhinitis, common allergic cold, asthma, skin eczema, and parasitic infestation. So kindly mention your clinical complaint like fever, cold, diarrhea, etc., if present to guide you further.
Your hemoglobin, RBC, and platelet values are borderline. For that, you have to repeat complete blood count report after a few days. If still, they are abnormal, then will think further. So, acknowledge me with clinical complaints to guide you further.
Patient's Query
Thank you doctor,
I have mild fever and no other symptoms.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
You would have had allergic inflammation just now. So your eosinophils are increased. For that, symptomatic management is done. You can be prescribed Paracetamol tablet as and when required. You can be prescribed Fexofenadine like tablet for a week. It is an antiallergic medication. After one week, you have to repeat your CBC (complete blood count) report.
Your raised platelet count could be from reactive cause secondary to inflammation. Maintain hydration with lots of water. I suggest you consult a physician for a physical examination and get prescription accordingly. After one week, repeat CBC and revert back.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have attached reports.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
It is good that your hemoglobin and platelet count is within the limit (attachment removed to protect patient identity). So do not worry about that. Kindly mention your total WBC count value from the report. You are saying that it is elevated. So I want to know the exact numerical value of that. Allegra (Fexofenadine) can be prescribed for 7-10 days. Kindly attach your latest report.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Please find my latest report in the attachment. Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I have reviewed your attached report (attachment removed to protect patient identity) and here is my advise. Your total WBC count is high. It can be due to inflammation. In case of inflammation in the body, total count can be raised. You can continue Allegra for 5 days more. Additionally, Levocetirizine 5 mg once daily for five days also can be prescribed. For high RDW, no need to worry. It has not much significance until the hemoglobin level is low. If you have no improvement then you can consult a physician for a physical examination and get prescription accordingly. So it is advisable to consult physician once for examination if possible.
