How to treat a dry spot and swelling on my penis?

Hello doctor,

I am 18 years old. I swim five days a week for at least one to two hours per day, and I noticed my penis had a dry spot. This has been going on for at least a month, and it slightly itches. Sometimes, it hurts and is slightly swollen.

Please help.

I understand your concern.

I have noted your concern, and I have reviewed the images (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). It is a dermatitis or eczematous condition of the skin of the glans. I suggest you apply a topical steroid such as Cortisone cream twice daily for a few days. In addition, I suggest taking tablet Cetirizine 10 mg once daily for symptomatic relief from itching.
