What are the symptoms of ovulation and pregnancy?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a married woman and it has been two years of our marriage. I am 29 years old and my husband is 30 years old. We are now planning for a baby. So for the last two months, we are trying. But we are confused when to exactly start trying that is the day from the start of my periods. Earlier it was around 28 days of the cycle and now from last month, it takes around 31 days. Due to some emergencies, my husband had to travel somewhere. So we started on the eighth day of my period and did every alternative day. Now today is the 23rd day of my periods. I have not observed anything like ovulation or honestly saying I do not know how it feels and what are the symptoms of ovulation or if I have conceived or not. Please help me out with this.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Have healthy tips, precautions as well. Folic acid daily for you from today 0.4 mg daily as it helps to have normal brain development. If you both have any health issue better to have the full treatment. Stop recreational drugs if you both have been using and have recreational activities. Have healthy nutritious diet, daily walk, and normal balanced BMI. Sex activity is to be done in the fertile period of the cycle. You can have on alternate days from day eight to 16th-day alternate or from day nine to 13th daily if having a regular cycle.

Near menses, you might feel some symptoms if you conceive. Be positive and wait for nature to take the step, just concentrate on tips I described above. Different symptoms of conception differ individually like breast engorgement, abdominal cramps, abdominal fullness, vaginal clear discharge, increased appetite, and sleep, etc. In case of severe abdominal pain, bleeding, dizziness report to the hospital. You can have serum beta hCG (blood pregnancy test) in case of a missed period as it exactly describes pregnancy status.
