Patient's Query
Hi,
I got rashes that bleed. Bleeding also formed blood clots. I took half tablet of Tryptomer last night. I have been taking Valparine tablets for the previous three years. I am sharing my laboratory test reports. Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
In my opinion, the attached image (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity) shows skin rashes and bruises. It might be due to side effects of Valparine (Sodium valproate) or Tryptomer (Amitriptyline) medicines.
I suggest you can apply vitamin K and aloe vera or vitamin C-containing cream over the affected area.
Your clotting and platelet-related reports are normal. However, if no improvement is seen, you can consult a nearby dermatologist for a detailed physical examination & treatment accordingly.
I hope I have answered your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Best Regards.
Patient's Query
Thank you,
Please advise any required medicines. Can I stop taking Tryptomer or decrease its dose to half at night?
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
I suggest you take-
1. Vitamin C chewable tablet for ten days.
2. You can apply vitamin K and aloe vera-containing cream over the bruised area.
If your depression is well controlled with Tryptomer, it can be stopped after consultation with a doctor.
If you see no improvement, then revert to me.
I hope I have answered your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Best regards.
