Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am currently on tablet Dothiepin for anxiety. I have a history of GERD, and lately, my heartburn and belching have gotten worse. I need to know whether I can take tablet Omeprazole with my medication. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

May I know,

1. What is the frequency of your anxiety medicine?

2. When did you take it lastly?

3. How much mg of anxiety medications are you taking?

Please reply to me with answers to the above-asked questions so that I can guide you better about the dosage and the gap between the medicines.

I will be happy to help you further. I wish you good health. Thanks.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for your reply. I take 125 mg every night. I have been taking this medication for five weeks, and I have been on this medication previously. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

So you are taking a maintenance dose. However, this anxiety medication can also cause gastritis and GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) as known side effects. So did you get similar side effects when you took it earlier? And what is the time right now in your country? And since how long have you had these GERD symptoms?

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
