Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have had random lightheadedness and dizziness episodes. I consulted a doctor and did EKG, blood tests, and chest X-ray, which came out to be normal. However, I have some ear issues related to eustachian tube dysfunction and allergies. I do not take any medicines for allergies currently. One of the doctors thinks it is because of some ear-related issues, while the other thinks it is nothing serious. Also, I suffer from anxiety but get lightheaded when I am not anxious. I have had neck arthritis and neck tension too. What could be the reason for lightheadedness and dizziness? Kindly help.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern. From the ENT specialist's perspective, we want to rule out causes for vertigo. By your history, it does not appear like vertigo. I suggest having an MRI brain and internal acoustic meatus to rule out acoustic neuroma and any cerebellopontine lesion that may be causing the problem. Thank you.
