Hello doctor,
I am a 20-year-old female. I found a transparent (clear) discharge from my nipple when I squeeze it. It does not leak spontaneously. It comes when I squeeze my nipples also in a minimal amount. I noticed this for the last two days, and it is still coming when I press it. Is this a severe problem? What should I do now about this?

This discharge should be sent to a laboratory for histopathology. If it is not an infection, it would be breast milk secretions. Are you taking any anti-depressant drugs? Any space-occupying lesion in the brain also can cause this. You need to have a brain MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) and a diagnostic discussion with an endocrinologist. Also, check thyroid function tests and serum prolactin levels. Do you have a regular menstrual cycle?
